New Blog

So it's been a while since I wrote on my blog.  I've been turning the idea over in my head as to whether or not I should pick it up again.  Instead of continuing my Little Miss Sew and Sow blog, I have decided to create a new one.  Montessori Daily will chronicle my efforts to become an AMS-certified teacher for 6-to-9-year-olds.  It will also follow the efforts my husband and I take to make our home as "Montessori" as possible for our 4-year-old son.

On the outset, I'd like to state the purpose of this blog--

1. This blog is NOT the Holy Grail of Montessori.
2. This blog does NOT contain expert advice.  I am by no means an expert at child-rearing, teaching, or anything else about which I might blog...
3. This blog contains my PERSONAL opinions about child-rearing, teaching, etc.
4. This blog will not mention specific names, locations, etc. 
5. Exception to #4:  I will refer to my own son as "W" and to my husband as either "M" or "Dear Darling Husband/DDH".  When describing events concerning my own family, I will use specifics, unless doing so would give too much information about my own identity.
6. This blog will NOT reference politics, current events, etc., unless said topics directly relate to child-rearing and/or teaching.
7. Guidelines/purpose may change when warranted.That said, I hope you enjoy this blog.  Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!
